Chris, did you read the comments in ‘problem with electric cars’? This article looks like half-baked scaremongering. Rare earths aren’t so rare. China dominates the current market because of low wages and low environmental standards. So, what’s the problem? Rare earths might cost a bit more than they do now. Like solar, wind, etc will cost a bit more than coal powered electricity. Still gotta do it.
